General Electrician
A general electrician is defined in the Caroline County
Electrical Standards as:
"Any person engaged only in house wiring, limited to a dwelling
containing not more than four family units, and/or commercial
wiring, limited to the installation of one three-phase circuit,
not exceeding 60 amperes, in existing commercial structures."
Requirements
A general electrician must:
- successfully complete an examination
- have at least two years of practical experience in the
electrical work set forth under the definition of
"general electrician" in the Caroline County Electrical
Standards. Schooling or training in a technical school or
college relating to said work may be substituted, month
for month, for not more than one year of said two years
of practical experience.
Or
- have a letter of reciprocity from another Maryland county
from which he has held a General Electrical License, which
was obtained by examination, for at least one year
